The LÖTHO Training Workshop on Training Against Climate Change is a training activity aimed at transferring knowledge about the environment, energy and sustainability, from the professional field to the educational world. In this way, it seeks to cover the existing need for practical content in these matters, since the professional reality is sometimes far from the educational world. Therefore, it is a program aimed at: graduates, students, technicians and all those people with special interest in the fight against climate change. Thus, the fundamental objective is the transition from academic concepts to professional projects, in order to achieve adequate technical training for the fight against climate change and the environmental and sustainability challenges facing today’s world.
This project is framed within a current situation of growing concern about the changes that the world is experiencing, in terms of sustainability and climate change. Therefore, it is necessary to have trained professionals with specific training in these sectors, so that they can face and mitigate the effects associated with autonomy from the global framework that includes regions with potential damage due to their geographical, climatic and sociological characteristics.
The training offer that composes the project includes a wide variety of courses and training programs in the fields of energy management and environment in terms of efficiency and improvement of the conditions for greater sustainability, from various areas ranging from administrations public to private companies.
Energy efficiency is one of the essential drivers in the fight against climate change in terms of economic and environmental savings, and in various areas, such as industry, construction, transport, etc.
URBAN ENERGY MANAGEMENT
The Energy Manager is a figure with the ability to correctly solve the efficient use of energy, being responsible for the control of the facilities to enhance energy savings or contracting supplies.
SYSTEMS OF ENERGY MANAGEMENT
The Energy Management Systems offer a systematic approach to control and reduce energy consumption. Therefore, it is essential for many organizations to have technicians with the appropriate training for their correct implementation, with the improvements associated with it.
Today, almost all the activities we do (mobility, food, etc) and goods that we own and use involve consuming energy, which means contributing to emissions into the atmosphere. The carbon footprint is able to give a measure of this contribution, allowing to quantify and, therefore, act against the damage caused to the environment in this regard.
Knowing the processes and transformations that govern climate change is an essential issue when addressing the policies, actions and measures to be taken to fight against their causes and mitigate their effects, in addition to making an impact on the management of events and associated natural disasters to the very effects of climate change.
